How do I discount a potential match?

Firstly, navigate into the 'potential matches' dashboard view.

Then, click into the profile you would like to view potential matches for, I am using Boris Johnson as an example. Please note - the potential matches view will show the customer's name that you hold a profile for. Once you have clicked into the profile, it will present you with the names of the potential matches that have pulled through.

Now that you are in the profile, you can see the potential matches generated for this customer:

Having reviewed the first match by the name of 'Joao Alexandre', I have identified that this is not my related to Boris Johnson - so I can discount the match. To do this, I would click 'Discount' within the line of the profile.

Upon clicking discount, you will be presented with a number of options at the bottom of your potential match's screen. (If your customer has had a high number of potential match hits, you will need to scroll to the bottom of your page to see this.)

Here, you must provide your rationale for discount, alongside any comments you have. Most commonly, the comments section as an ' audit log ' to track reviews carried out by different members of the team.

Once you have provided rationale, you can select 'Bulk Match Potentials' option, to submit your discount.
