Excluding URL's
In RiskScreen you have the ability to exclude URL's and term sets from live AVM searches. There may be occasions where you see results within your live adverse media search results, that are simply not relevant. To support you, we have built a facility whereby you can choose to exclude specific URLs (web pages) from your searches, thus improving the accuracy and relevance of adverse media screening.
When reviewing an AVM hit, select the + tab to add a URL exclusion.
You will be prompted to select your reasoning for having this URL excluded from future searches, with the request then being sent to one of your internal admin users to review.
This option should be considered where you identify specific URLs that consistently generate false positives over time, rather than excluding every URL that is involved in a potential match you subsequently discount.
Excluding a URL prevents that webpage from being displayed in any future adverse media screening results, so care should be taken to validate that it does not provide any value.
Each time you request a URL exclusion, all users with system administrator privileges receive an email for their review.
Excluding Terms
In order to exclude Terms from a live AVM search in RiskScreen, click 'view advanced adverse media search fields'.
In here, you will be able to add additional search terms that the system will search for, as well as add terms to be excluded from searches.
