What are data change notifications?
A data change email is sent to notify a user that there have been changes or updates made to a customer's previously actioned matches (i.e. flagged or discounted matches)
These emails serve as alerts to inform you that the Dow Jones record has
changed in some way, allowing you to then assess the impact of the change on your
customer data and recorded outcome. The image below illustrates the format of a Dow Jones 'change notification' email you will receive from noreply@kyc360.com if you set the 'Notify' flag to 'yes' when actioning a potential match.
Included within the email are details of your Customer (Client Last Name, Client Entity ID,
Interface Ref) and the Dow Jones record (Entity ID, Entity Name), with indicators to inform
you if the record has been deleted or changed, and whether Dow Jones have changed any
key data items, such as the classification, name, date, address or country.
The client's name will by hyperlinked, allowing you to navigate directly to the changed record.
The alert will also detail where the change has taken place - for instance the change below illustrates that the update is in the details tab of the match.
The notification may not always detail a physical change - sometimes it may be an update to the 'watchlist/adverse media last reviewed date' to demonstrate that the profile has been reviewed to ensure that the information it contains is still accurate and that there is no further information that can be added at this time.

Will I get notifications for new potential matches?
The system will not send a data change email for new potential matches, it is up to your company's internal procedures as to how you would like to monitor the potential matches tab in your KYC360 Screening environment.
Who receives data change notifications?
The users that receive data change emails must qualify by one of the following:
1. Be a user who previously worked on the record
2. Be a supervisor of the group that the record is assigned to.
These email notifications will be sent when you have the notify option within the record set to ‘yes’ - this will result in any changes made to a customers record to be reflected in an email.
If you would like a user to receive all of the data change notifications for matches assigned to records of the handler group, you can promote them to a supervisor of the group.
You can do this through user management and promoting the user to 'supervisor' within the handler group.
The below is an example of a user that would be receiving all data change notification emails for the handler group, as they are set to a supervisor.
How do I view changes to a customer record?
The system automatically takes a 'snapshot' of the original match record and the updated Dow Jones profile, compares them, and stores the 'differences' data for you.
When you view a customer record, click into any of the Flagged or Discounted Matches (by
clicking on a 'Match Name' link), the match details are displayed, and two 'snapshot' buttons
are available, circled below.
Generating a snapshot difference account allows you to download a report which details the differences between the profile of the Dow Jones record when the potential match was created and the current profile of the Dow Jones record (i.e. the record that has been updated by Dow Jones, which has triggered a 'notify change' event).
Within the Snapshot difference report, you will see the following articles, to help identify where the relevant changes to the record have been made.
Why am I still receiving data change notifications from a customer I have set to inactive?
You can enter the potential and flagged matches section,
From here, if you scroll down, you will see your options for that match
It is here that you can set Notify to 'NO'
Why is a leaver still receiving data change notifications In Screening?
If a user is deactivated from the Screening platform, they will continue to receive data change emails for the records they worked on.
If you would like to stop the user receiving data change notifications, you have the following options:
- Since your leaver is still the assigned user on the record(s), they will continue to receive data change notification emails, a quick fix solution is that the leaver goes in and blocks emails from noreply@riskscreen.com and noreply@kyc360.com
- You could find the specific records they are receiving notifications for and edit the notify flag to be set to ‘NO’, however this would mean the supervisor will also no longer receive notifications for data changes of that record.
