What IOS and Android versions are supported by ID-Pal?

OS versions that are supported by the device manufacturers are more secure, more regularly updated and better serve the security standards we uphold. In addition, the experience will have less friction, allowing a user to verify their identity more easily.

ID-Pal supports the following OS versions:

- On Apple devices,  iOS 12 and all versions 15 and above. iOS 13 & 14 are not supported due to security patches in later versions by Apple.

- On Android devices, all versions of Android 9 or newer

What if an end user is unable to update their device to a supported Operating System (OS) version?
 

- If an end user’s device is running on an OS Version that is unsupported by Apple or Android, the user should update their device. This is recommended by the manufacturer to ensure the device functioning correctly and is protected from viruses, malware and hackers.

- If an end user is unable to update their device to an OS version that is supported. We recommend that the user forwards the link to a friend or family member and completes the submission on that secure device.
